Mom and Nancy took a turn at rockin' out and they did a great job! We had a lot of fun while Nancy sang "Enter Sandman", and Mom played the drums. Quite a show!
Santa brought Lily and Mary a tea table and two chairs and Lily got a little plastic tea set. Everyone who has been over to the house has had the pleasure of enjoying a spot of tea made by Lily. Even Mary. The only problem is, Mary likes to dump her tea out more than she likes to drink it, which has resulted in several watery messes. So I told Lily that she was going to have to keep the water out of Mary's reach so she didn't pour it all over the place. The following pictures will show what I found when I returned to the living room to see if Lily had complied with my request... This is what I found! :-) Mary couldn't reach this tea party!!!! Lily got an "easy bake" oven for christmas that she just loves. So far, we've baked chocolate cakes and vanilla cakes. Surprisingly, they're actually pretty tasty! And they bake with cool air using ice in the bottom of the oven, so no risk of burns! I think we have a little chef on our hands! We have a new love to add to our music playing craze! Rock Band!!! Not only can you play the guitar to your favorite rock song, but there is also a drum set and a microphone. Hence, a rock band! While we still prefer guitar hero for playing with one or two people (and I like the songs on guitar hero more), rock band has definitely proved to be a large crowd pleaser! (sorry, the quality of the pics is not great, but you get the idea) :-) At a play date with AJ, a classmate of Lily's, Mary gets a ride from AJ around the house. She got mad becasuse we made AJ stop the wagon to take pictures. :-) After Lily got out of school today, we went to Aunt Heather's class to join her Fall Karaoke Party! We had a great time and were so glad she invited us. :-) Lily arrived in full indian dress and enjoyed apple juice and gave the pumkin pie a try while Mary sat quietly and watched the kids sing. The kids did a great job and Heather is a WONDERFUL teacher!!!! She was a great hostess and her classroom was spectacular!! We love you Heather and can't wait to visit again soon! xoxoxo Dodger had a great birthday weekend that started out with dinner with Heather and Blake and a night of Guitar Hero III on Friday. Then more Guitar Hero on Saturday, and a delicious Thanksgiving/Birthday dinner hosted by Nancy on Sunday night. Then more Guitar Hero. For those of you who don't know what Guitar Hero is, it's a video game where you strap on a plastic guitar that is wirelessly linked to the game station and you can play it to your favorite songs as notes come on the screen. Highly fun and entertaining and equally addictive. If you're wondering how we came upon this game, it started something like this: The photos above are of Dodger and Blake (and Heather :-)) Friday night after dinner at Best Buy playing the "demo" version of above said game. Long story short, Heather and Blake showed up at the door with the game to surprise Dodge for his birthday and we played until midnight! And thus, it began... Not all who played are shown above, but you get the idea. Our house has become very popular, thanks to Heather and Blake! Lily has been taking violin lessons since she was not much more than two years old. She is finally producing some sounds you can recognize! There's not much practicing, but they say it's good for her brain. We'll see. :-) Libby Lu's is a place that I had been lucky enough to not discover until just last week. It's a store in the Town Center Mall that is just for little girls where they can go and get "makeovers"!!!!!!!! They do everything from hair and nails to makeup and accessories. Lily was in heaven. She and her two friends from school decided to be "rock stars." Oh, to be four years old..... :-) |
